About Us
Luminova is the only company in the world to have developed the computing power to rapidly process massive amounts of complex data into highly realistic scenes.
This gives a variety of specialists the power to work rapidly as a synchronised team on decision making and massively boosts project efficiency.
By targeting the gaps and limitations inherent in current CAD/CAM/CAE and VR technologies, Luminova has created a powerful tool to control and facilitate innovative, practical and highly accessible project planning.
Luminova also brings a massive and expanding image library with more than 20,000 objects and scenes, 10,000 textures and more than 48,000 light fitting photometric files.
Accessibility
Reality Server®
allows a range of users to view and travel through detailed design images from independent locations via a shared server platform, easily accessible on their own computers via the internet.
History
Luminova’s technology emerged more than a decade ago when Chris Blewitt and Paul Arden were developing computer-based lighting system engineering and analysis.
To overcome limitations on image realism and lighting effects, Chris and Paul combined their lighting expertise with evolving Global Illumination techniques to revolutionise the production of real world images and views. And they quickly understood how their new technology could provide a powerful project management tool.
Today Luminova is the leading international developer of visual technology with over 30 people based in London, England and Melbourne, Australia. They have built massive computing power and a digital library to service more than 800 commercial projects spread across North America, Asia, Europe and Australia.
